PFA Committees

PFA has standing committees that serve the interest of the association and its members. If you would like to join the PFA Leadership Team by serving on a committee, please fill out our committee interest form here.

Community Engagement Committee

The Community Engagement Committee supports the member experience by connecting individuals or organizations through networking, in-person & virtual events, and relevant resources. 

Committee Tasks:

  • Identify and establish cohort groups that provide a support group for mentoring and accountability
  • Pulse surveys on as-needed basis addressing member insights will be conducted, with learnings and intended outcomes shared regularly with members
  • Foster continuous improvement of our offerings by analyzing our feedback learning loops quarterly to identify opportunities for new resources
  • Identify specific goal outcomes and develop new resources and engagement opportunities toward those goals

In 2023-2024 the Community Engagement Committee will:

  • Identify cohort groups within the PFA membership
    • Purpose: foster mentorship & sharing of best practices
  • Assist in curating and reviewing resource library materials

Time Commitment for Committee - 3 hours monthly

  • 1 hour meeting, Quarterly
  • 2 - 3 hours monthly committee work including, but not limited to
    • To-dos from committee meeting
    • Identifying, creating, and evaluating cohort groups
    • Facilitation of cohort group networking/forums
    • Survey development and review

 

Education Committee

The Education Committee supports PFA’s ongoing effort to provide excellent education opportunities to members. 

Committee Tasks:

  • PFA will engage in [annual / regular] environmental scans to maintain foresight of external trends, threats, and opportunities
  • Foster continuous improvement of our offerings by analyzing our feedback learning loops quarterly to identify opportunities for new resources
  • Identify specific goal outcomes and develop new resources and engagement opportunities toward those goals

In 2023-2024, the Education Committee will:

  • Assist with the PFA webinar program
  • Identify educational needs for upcoming year based on surveys/member feedback
  • Assist in curating and reviewing resource library materials

Time commitment for Committee

  • 1 hour meeting, Quarterly or more frequent as needed
  • 2 - 3 hours monthly committee work including, but not limited to
    • To-dos derived from committee meetings
    • Resource sourcing/development
    • Environmental scans
    • Feedback and preparation for committee meetings

 

Associate Member Committee

The Associate Member Committee ensures that Associate members are effectively connected to the Fraternal members and their needs. 

Committee Tasks:

  • Pre-Convention survey to efficiently connect Fraternal Member needs to Associate Members
  • Foster continuous improvement of our offerings by analyzing our feedback learning loops quarterly to identify opportunities for new resources
  • Identify specific goal outcomes and develop new resources and engagement opportunities toward those goals 

In 2023-2024, the Associate Member Committee will:

  • Assist in the creation of the service-needs fields of the operations survey
  • Review results of the operations survey provided by staff
  • Assist in curating and reviewing resource library materials
  • Foster retention/renewals with Associate members 

Time Commitment for Committee - about 3 hours monthly

  • 1 hour meeting, Quarterly
  • 2 - 3 hours monthly committee work including, but not limited to
    • To-dos derived from committee meeting
    • Survey development and review
    • Resource sourcing and development
    • Feedback and preparation for committee meeting
